About
Amira grew up between Cairo and London. After finishing her CS degree she took a hard pivot into design, did the RCA, and spent her early years on small teams nobody had heard of (yet).
She joined Stripe in 2014 as the third designer, ran the brand-and-marketing surface for three years, then jumped to Notion in 2017 as a founding designer. She now leads design at Linear from Dublin.
Outside work she writes a monthly essay on craft and software at amira.studio, teaches a sold-out workshop at the Royal College of Art every spring, and is a frequent advisor to seed-stage founders.
